The treasurer reported a balance in May of �406.27. Gill Cooper received two firsts in the County Needlework competition and Milly Huggins one first.

A letter was read from County Standard Bearer Sheila Jeffery thanking the branch ladies for making her so welcome in the parade for Civic Sunday. She carried the branch standard for Sue Doy, who is the town mayor.

A coffee morning will take place on July 9 at 'Tudor Land', Rissemere Lane East, by invitation of member Ruth Chapman, with tombola, bowling game, books, plants, etc. Admission �2 includes coffee, scone and lucky ticket number for bottle of wine. All welcome in aid of Benevolent Fund.

A stall at Lloyds Bank on Thursday August 27, 8.30am-1pm will sell cakes, books, plants, good-as-new men's and women's clothing. These fundraisers are instead of the July and August branch meetings. The next branch meeting will be Wednesday September 16, the annual meeting is on October 14 and the group annual meeting at Lowestoft BT Centre is on October 30 at 2pm.
