A large crowd of brave swimmers plunged into the cold sea for a traditional Christmas Day swim in Southwold.
In total 172 people, dressed in a variety of festive costumes, took part in the charity event which is organised by Southwold and District Rotary.
Organiser Cathy Ryan said: “We had a great year with a record turnout.
“There was a great atmosphere - you could smell the mulled wine from the beach huts.
“It’s a really good start to Christmas morning.
“There was a mixture of holiday makers and locals and had a great community feel.”
She added: “We are already looking forward to next year’s swim.”
While the total money raised is not yet known proceeds will be split between The Southwold R.N.L.I, The Sole Bay Care Fund, The Southwold and Reydon Recreational Development Council.
