A COASTAL museum has launched a new website to showcase its displays, local features and hundreds of archive photographs.
Southwold Museum, which has recently undergone a 330,000 Lottery-supported redesign and refurbishment, is now accessible online and the new site, which replaces one created five years ago, boasts about 150 pages of features about the town's history and more than 300 photographs.
There are also dozens of sound clips from the oral history collection and panoramic virtual tours around the museum's interior. The new site adopts the same themes as the museum displays, including early history, the sea, tourism, religion and the development of Southwold.
Each theme has been researched and developed by members of the Southwold Museum and Historical Society, which runs the small cottage museum on Victoria Street.
The museum is open from Easter until the end of October. You can visit the new museum website via www.southwoldmuseum.org
