A COUNCIL-RUN recycling centre has been closed today due to work on the access road.

The household waste recycling centre in Blyth Road, Southwold, has been unaccessible because of works being carried out on the track which leads to the centre. The work is being carried out by Southwold Town Council.

A spokesman for Suffolk County Council, which operates the site, said: “We understand that this is a busy time of year for people using the recycling centres across Suffolk and apologise for any inconvenience to people wanting to use the Southwold centre today.”

It is unknown when the site will be accessible again.
