Spots, in Southwold, has been awarded the honour of Best Greetings Card Retailer in East Anglia.

The ceremony, known as The Retas, took place at London’s Dorchester Hotel on Wednesday, July 12.

Having launched in 2005, the Retas recognises excellence across the greeting cards industry, from high street independents to chains and supermarkets.

Winners were decided upon after a nationwide nomination process during which 2,000 card publishers selected their choice for each category.

Sarah Green, who co-owns Spots with Guy Mitchell, said: “We were really pleased to be recognised as being among the best in the UK and delighted to be the best in East Anglia.

“We’re always introducing new suppliers to give our customers a good choice and it seems as if this has been recognised.”

Spots was founded in 2016 at the former Southwold Post Office.

As well as greetings cards, the shop continues to offer a range of toys and gifts.
