WITH reference to Sandra Wyatt's letter (Lowestoft Journal August 14) why is it that some pet owners think the world must revolve around them! It is very common nowadays for fireworks to be used as a cause of celebration at any time of the year - weddings, birthday parties, etc, and they are no longer confined just to Guy Fawkes night.

What right have these people got to spoil other people's enjoyment?
It's obviously not considered a waste of money to those who are prepared to pay for them, and as for imposing a penalty - I'm speechless!
