THIEVES ran amok in Carlton Colville overnight as a spate of vehicle crime has today been reported to police.Witnesses are being sought as about a dozen incidents of theft or attempted theft from cars have been recorded.

THIEVES ran amok in Carlton Colville overnight as a spate of vehicle crime has today been reported to police.

Witnesses are being sought as about a dozen incidents of theft or attempted theft from cars have been recorded.

Vehicles were entered and searched in the Mast Close, Anchor Way, Rushton Drive, Rope Walk, Galley Close, Porthole Close area between last night (Thursday) and this morning (Friday).

In several cases that police are investigating, the vehicles had been left insecure.

A satellite navigation system was stolen from a BMW parked in Mast Close and chocolate Easter eggs were taken from a Renault also parked there.

A black and silver car radio/CD player disappeared from a Ford car in Rope Walk and a satellite navigation system, a mobile phone and bottles of soft drink were stolen from another Ford in Galley Close.
