Lowestoft Museum will be opening its doors this weekend for a popular annual event.

The museum, based in Nicholas Everitt Park, Oulton Broad, will hold its yearly open day this Sunday, August 27.

The free open day will begin at 10am, with a day of activities and displays planned.

A spokesman for Lowestoft Museum said: 'The free open day will include children's activities and a photogrpahic display and slideshow – Lowestoft at War – starting at 11am.

'In the afternoon at 1.30pm, Burt Collyer, will also provide a free slideshow entitled All Our Yesterdays. Both talks will be held in the adjacent bowls pavilion.'
