Plans are now well advanced for this year's Patronal Festival weekend at St Margaret's, from Saturday, July 18, to Monday, July 20 (St Margaret's Day itself). The event will celebrate 700 years of service since the first recorded incumbent, and the main focus will be a flower and costume display throughout the weekend. There will also be a mediaeval style fair, complete with hog roast, on Saturday, July 18. As part of this event, St Margaret's Church wishes to involve the local community as widely as possible, and is offering organisations and individuals the opportunity to rent a site for a stall in the grounds or in a marquee, either to promote their activities or sell their products or wares. All enquiries should be made to the organisers on Lowestoft 568296.

Services at St Margaret's on June 7, will begin with holy communion at 8am. Sung eucharist will take place at 10am there will be a service of baptism at 11.30am.

The first Sunday family worship and activities will take place in the Church Centre from 9.45 to 11.15am, on the theme of the Trinity. The Traidcraft stall will also be open, after the morning service, in the Church Centre.

In the evening, the congregation will be attending a service of evensong at Ashby Church and there will be a said evensong at St Margaret's at 6.30pm.
