The church's series of August open days continues from today, with the concluding sessions of the Norwich Diocesan Open Churches Week. To enable the public to visit and view one of the most magnificent buildings in Lowestoft, St Margaret's will be open on Friday, August 7, from 9am to 5pm and on Saturday, August 8 from 2 to 4pm.

The church's series of August open days continues from today, with the concluding sessions of the Norwich Diocesan Open Churches Week. To enable the public to visit and view one of the most magnificent buildings in Lowestoft, St Margaret's will be open on Friday, August 7, from 9am to 5pm and on Saturday, August 8 from 2 to 4pm. Thereafter, St. Margaret's will also be open on Saturdays, August 22 and 29, from 2 to 4pm. There is free parking at the adjoining church centre and light refreshments will be served during each of these Saturday afternoon sessions. Looking further ahead, the St Margaret's Fun Week for children will take place from August 25 to 28. Application forms are obtainable from the church and the church centre. Services on Sunday will commence with holy communion at 8am. At 10am, the service of sung eucharist will include the Commemoration of Mary Sumner (Mothers' Union). Evensong will begin at 6.30pm.
