Staff threatened during Lowestoft shop robbery

A masked man robbed a convenience store in Oulton, near Lowestoft, on Sunday evening.
A man, whose face was covered by either a balaclava or a scarf, entered the One Stop shop in Sands Lane at about 6.36pm. He threatened staff with a claw hammer, demanded money and then left the shop with cash. No one was hurt in the incident.
The man is described as being between 5ft 7 and 5ft 8ins tall, of slim to medium build and he spoke with a local accent.
He was wearing a three quarter length coat with the collar up, black woollen gloves and jeans.

There were no customers in the shop at the time, but police are keen to speak to anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area.
