Steam train set to thrill enthusiasts

TRAIN enthusiasts were in for a treat today with a steam train set to pull into Norwich station at lunchtime.

East Anglia's steam special, hauled by Oliver Cromwell, was due to leave Liverpool Street station, in London, at 10.

TRAIN enthusiasts were in for a treat today with a steam train set to pull into Norwich station at lunchtime.

East Anglia's steam special, hauled by Oliver Cromwell, was due to leave Liverpool Street station, in London, at 10.24am today.

It was due to stop at Colchester between 11.44 and 12.02 to take on water and travel non-stop through Ipswich at 12.25pm and then on to Norwich for about 1.30pm.

It is due to leave Norwich on its return at about 5.30pm, passing through Ipswich about an hour later.

The train is then due to take on water at Colchester between 6.55pm and 7.18pm before arriving back in London at about 8.40pm.
