Strangers celebrate landmark birthday
THEY were born on the same day 99 years ago and by chance they booked to celebrate their milestone birthday at the same Suffolk hotel at the same time.
THEY were born on the same day 99 years ago and by chance they booked to celebrate their milestone birthday at the same Suffolk hotel at the same time.
Margaret Kibble from Southwold and Vi Elias, from Wickham Market had never met before Sunday (May 3).
But now the women share a special bond.
It wasn't until relatives were chatting at the school gates last Friday that the amazing coincidence was realised.

Daughter-in-law Sally Kibble, said her daughter Ingrid was speaking with her friend Amanda Elias when they discovered they would both be at The Wentworth Hotel in Aldeburgh on Sunday for lunch at 12.30pm.
'It was an amazing coincidence, they are both great-grandmothers and they were both celebrating their actual birthdays on Sunday,' she said.

'Margaret had a lovely day, she is amazing, she looks after herself, she has help with the garden but she does her own shopping and cooking. We are all looking forward to the 100th celebrations.'
And for great-great-grandmother Mrs Elias, the day was also a big success.
Amanda, of Saxmundham, said: 'We had a fantastic day out, Vi really enjoyed herself. Margaret said she would hopefully see us all next year for the 100th parties.'
