A group of Suffolk army cadets completed a 10Km charity run in tough conditions to raise vital funds.
Cadet Regimental Sergeant Major (RSM) Harry Pickess and RSM Ethan Smith were joined by former cadet's RSM Tom Parott and cadet Grenadier CSM Mercer raised more than £1,300 for the local branch of the Royal British Legion following a 10Km charity run in Lowestoft that they organised between themselves. Starting at Kessingland beach at 10.20am on Saturday morning, the cadets set off for Lowestoft with family, friends, representatives' from the Royal British Legion and Staff Sgt Lesley Utting and Sgt John Tillotson, representing the sports and photography Suffolk ACF, willing them on. The four runners arrived at Claremont Pier, Lowestoft 'a bit windswept' – according to those who greeted them – just over an hour later. A spokesman for Suffolk ACF said: 'Well done guys, fantastic!'
