A group of councillors have joined together to fund new fire doors at a community church.
The doors have been installed at Lowestoft Community Church, based at The Depot on Hadenham Road, thanks to the help of Suffolk County Council.
Councillors Michael Ladd, Jamie Starling, Jenny Ceresa, Craig Rivett and Melanie Vigo Di Gallidoro dipped into their locality budget to contribute £300 each.
Ben Parish, leader of the Eldership team at the church, said: 'We as a local church are very grateful for the funding given to us by the Suffolk County Councillors which has enabled us to replace the fire doors in our large and well used hall.
'Our buildings are used throughout the week for a variety of community-based activities and groups, and maintaining them to a good standard is key to us being able to fulfil our vision to serve the town in the best way we can.'
