Suffolk's largest teaching union has launched a campaign over the 'savage' levels of school funding under the new national funding formula (NFF).
Under the NFF, money will be distributed according to the individual needs of schools from September 2018, using factors including deprivation and low prior achievement.
But Suffolk will still be in the bottom 50 funded local authorities despite a rise in the school block funding by 2.4% to £395million. An average of £4,347 will be spent per pupil in 2018/19, down on the £4,629 England average.
The Suffolk branch of the National Union of Teachers will lobby MPs, and hold public meetings and street stalls over the 'savage' cuts.
Spokesman Graham White said there was 'outrage' over the NFF at a recent meeting.
He said: 'It was felt to be an absolute disgrace that Suffolk pupils are not getting the funding they need.'
