Cannabis factory discovered at home ‘with door open and blood on handle’

A cannabis factory including around 100 plants has been discovered in a house in Lowestoft.

Officers from Suffolk Police were called to a home on Reeve Street on Thursday, May 28, after receiving information about the cultivation of cannabis plants at the address.

After arriving at the home, officers found the front door wide open and blood on the handle.

Concerned someone may be injured inside, officers entered and, while no one was found inside the home, around 100 cannabis plants were discovered growing in the upstairs bedrooms.

The plants were removed and the hydroponics equipment was dismantled and will be destroyed.

To date, no arrests have been made, although investigations into the matter continue.
