THE Suffolk Regiment, as many know, is no more but far from dead, for it has been carried on by another fine band of servicemen and woman in the name of the Royal Anglian Regiment.

In recent times they have shown that the spirit of the Suffolk Regiment lives on as courageously as ever.

With this in mind, we, the veterans of the Suffolks, are inviting the Royal Anglians, or any other branch of the armed forces, both serving or veterans to join our branch at Lowestoft.

Our annual buffet dance is being held tomorrow >> at the Lowestoft Football Club.

There will be many of us at the Remembrance Service and parade on November 8 where we will all become as one with our thoughts of those who have given so much in the quest for peace.

Our meetings are held on the first Wednesday of every month at the Telecom Club, in Clapham Road, Lowestoft, meetings start at 8 pm. For further information please contact chairman Mr G Wood on 01502 583173 or vice chairman Mr F Mullender 01502 5564066.
