A six-year-old Bungay boy who wrote a book for the RSPCA was thanked by the charity with a surprise visit.
Mum Hayley Payne said: "Oscar was so upset after watching the advert as he didn't realise that people could be so cruel to animals and he immediately wanted to do something to help them.
"We are so incredibly proud of him."
He has raised more than £315 selling his book for £1 a copy.
After hearing about Oscar's amazing efforts, the charity sent him a goody bag and invited him for a special behind the scenes tour of RSPCA Martlesham Animal Centre in Suffolk, where he looked after animals and was presented with a certificate.
Zoe Barrett, animal centre manager, added: "Oscar was such a superstar - and I am sure he will inspire more children to be just as compassionate, and kind as he is."
