A BLUE 125cc moped, which was stolen from a street in Lowestoft, was later found ablaze in a nearby alleyway.
The moped was stolen from Raglan Street between 11.30pm on Sunday (February 27) and 2.20am yesterday (Monday, February 28), and then set alight in an alleyway at the back of properties at Clapham Road North and Jacobs Street.
'Police were contacted by the fire service at 2.25am on Monday who reported the suspicious fire,' a police spokesman said. 'The blaze burnt out the moped and then spread causing substantial damage to a wooden carport, a wooden fence and two cars.'
Officers would like to speak to anyone who saw the theft, or the moped being abandoned, anyone who saw the blue motorcycle being ridden in the area or anyone with information about who stole it or set it alight.
