Takeaway deliveryman robbed and attacked in Lowestoft alleyway

THREE men have been arrested on suspicion of robbery after a takeaway delivery driver was attacked in an alleyway off Cowslip Crescent, Lowestoft. The driver had been trying to deliver a food order at about 12.25am on Tuesday but there was no answer at the property. He was then approached by a man who appeared from an alleyway alongside the house. The man called him over and said he would get him the money but when the driver went into the alleyway he was assaulted and the food was stolen from him. Three men – two aged 23 and one 24 – were later arrested and bailed until October 4.
