Have you ever wished you didn't have to drive for miles to get your McDonald's fix?

Have you ever wished you didn't have to drive for miles to get your McDonald's fix?

That dream is about to become a reality after a fast food delivery company arrived in Lowestoft.

Takeaway Taxi offers a 'within the hour' delivery service for fast food and local independent restaurants, allowing you to enjoy a Big Mac or McFlurry from the comfort of your own home.

The company does not have a commercial partnership with the chain restaurants, instead operating independently to offer McDonald's and Subway delivery.

Operations manager Milon Miah is keen to get more outlets involved and provide a welcome service to hungry Lowestoft customers.

'The feedback we've had in Lowestoft so far has been really good,' said Mr Miah, who started the company in Ipswich back in 2010 before branching out to other towns.

'We're already offering Subway and McDonald's and we've got several restaurants lined up in the coming weeks. It won't just be fast food chains, but also independent companies.

'With other fast food delivery services, the onus is on the restaurants to check the order is correct before it goes out for delivery. With us, we will make sure ourselves that everything is correct and customer service is an absolute priority.'

As well as catering for customers in Lowestoft itself, Takeaway Taxi delivers as far north as Corton and as far south as Kessingland. They also serve Oulton Broad and Carlton Colville.
