Lowestoft First Bus drivers have been rewarded with delicious doughnuts from the Beach Radio patrol team, as recognition for their hard work throughout the year.

Staff manager at the First Bus depot in Gordon Road, Lowestoft, Richard Alger, said: 'I am proud of all the drivers, it is good that other people are aware of the work we do in difficult conditions and heavy traffic.'

Andy Coleman, bus controller, added: 'It has to be a team effort and we work closely to ensure we have a smooth running service through rain, snow or shine.'

The First Bus drivers were nominated for the award, which is sponsored by LG Perfect of Great Yarmouth, by Jackie Felstead – whose husband Tony is part of the First Bus team in Lowestoft.

Beach Radio patrol member Cat said: 'The delicious doughnuts are a good way of recognising and showing appreciation of the hard work done by our local businesses.'
