Fundraisers from the Lowestoft-based Lauren Lou appeal, which continues to raise money and awareness in aid of cancer charities and local causes, have been boosted by two recent collections.
On June 22, a street collection and merchandise sale was held in Beccles – with £315.63 raised for the local cancer appeals fund.
Gary Bennett, team leader, said: 'Thank you to all my volunteers and the general public for supporting what I do to help others in the local community.'
Last Friday, July 13 Team Lauren Lou volunteers were out in force in Lowestoft as a street collection was held in the town centre and a bucket collection was held in the Tesco Metro store in London Road North. A further £316.64 was raised for the local cancer appeals fund.
Mr Bennett said: 'Thank you to all my volunteers, Lowestoft Vision and Waveney District Council for the respective permissions, but above all thank you so much to the kind donating public.'
