Teenage girl assaulted in Lowestoft

A WARNING has been issued by police, calling on residents in Lowestoft to be vigilant - especially when going out alone - after a 16-year-old girl was sexually assaulted.

A WARNING has been issued by police, calling on residents in Lowestoft to be vigilant - especially when going out alone - after a 16-year-old girl was sexually assaulted.

The girl was approached by a man on a silver moped in Ethel Road at about 9.30pm last night (Thursday).

The man engaged her in conversation before touching her inappropriately. He is around 19 to 20 years old, 6ft, white, with short dark hair and a spotty complexion.

He was wearing a yellow and black crash helmet, a black jacket and grey or white tracksuit.
