A 61-YEAR-OLD man was taunted and pelted with stones by a gang of youths outside his home near Lowestoft.

The man answered the doorbell of his home in Fallowfields at Oulton about 7pm on Tuesday and went out to find a group of about six teenage boys standing in the street.

Two of them began to taunt him and throw small stones at him.

They then ran off, followed by the man, and a larger stone was thrown, hitting him on the knee. But he was uninjured.

A neighbour who heard the commotion came out and challenged the gang. A passing car with three older teenagers also stopped to challenge the youths, who were all white and aged 14-16.

Some of youths were wearing white tops, others were wearing black and most of them were wearing dark-coloured jeans/ bottoms. Some were also wearing light coloured hats.

The group fled down an alleyway towards Millennium Way.
