A 16-year-old Lowestoft boy has been charged following a burglary at a home in the town.

The teenager - who cannot be named for legal reasons - was arrested yesterday, Thursday, May 26, and charged in connection with the burglary in Sunnyfields on Monday, May 9.

A cashbox, containing change, and a desk lamp were stolen in the break-in.

He is now due to answer the charge when he appears at Lowestoft Youth Court on Wednesday, June 8.

The teenager has also been arrested and bailed to return to Lowestoft police station on July 11 in connection with attempted break-in at another home in the same road on Saturday, May 14.
