A 16-YEAR-OLD boy was injured after he tried to help a friend and was attacked in Lowestoft.
The teenager suffered bruising to his ribs and face after an incident at Royal Terrace around 2am on Sunday, August 3. The youngster had stepped in to help a friend who was surrounded by a group of youths and was then assaulted, knocked to the ground and may have been unconscious.
Neither police nor an ambulance was called at the time but the incident was reported after a family member noticed his injuries.
It is known there were a number of people in the area at the time that may have seen the incident. Anyone who was there or who has information about the attacker should telephone Lowestoft police on 01986 835300.
