AN 18-year-old man was robbed of his pedal cycle as he walked through a Lowestoft park yesterday (Tuesday) evening.
The teenager was walking through Normanston Park about 7.20pm and was pushing his white BMX bike. As he approached the skate park area he saw two men sitting on the wall there.
As he walked past one of the men approached him and told him to hand over the bike. The 18-year-old got on the cycle and attempted to ride away but the offender grabbed his jacket and again demanded he hand over the bike.
The robber – described as in his late teens to early 20s, wearing a hooded top, with a scarf partially over his face – then took the cycle and rode off towards the second man who had a mountain bike with him.
Police would like to speak to anyone who was in the area around this time who may have seen the incident or the offender or anyone who may have any information about who he is. If you can help please call DC 1368 Rose at Lowestoft on 01986 835300.
