Two people have been arrested after police discovered 70 wraps of cocaine and heroin.
On Friday, March 8, Suffolk Police’s Scorpion Drug Team had reason to search an 18-year-old man in Tennyson Road, Lowestoft, under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
He was found in possession of three wraps of heroin, around £30 in cash, a mobile phone and house keys.
The man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.
Officers subsequently conducted a search of a nearby property and found a 19-year-old woman and further class A drugs.
Around 70 wraps of suspected cocaine and heroin worth an estimated £700 was found, along with £1,000 in cash.
The woman was also arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.
The pair were taken to Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre for questioning and released under investigation pending further enquiries.
A Suffolk Police spokesman said: “The supply and dealing of illegal drugs will not be tolerated and residents can be reassured that any information passed to police will be acted on.”
