I WOULD like to thank all those who came to the wartime slide show presentation put on by the Jack Rose Old Lowestoft Society on September 5.I would especially like to thank Chris Brooks, the chairman of the society, for arranging the event, Robert Jarvis, Bob Collis and members of the Royal Naval Patrol Service for their valued input.

We also appreciated the excellent support of Martin Halliday and his team at the Marina.
The event has seen much needed funds raised for the proposed Palliative Care Unit at the James Paget University Hospital, in Gorleston, and the Lowestoft War Memorial Museum, at Sparrow's Nest.
