MAY we offer most grateful thanks to everyone who helped and assisted at the Crucial Crew this year.

The event, which aims to contact children aged nine to 10-years-old, is about keeping them safe in a number of real life situations. This endeavour just could not happen without the help and support of many volunteers.

This year we were able to contact 1,374 children, nearly all of them in the Waveney district.

We had tremendous support from 48 volunteers from Rotary and Inner Wheel Clubs and friends, 14 police community support officers and trained presenters who organised eight real life scenarios.

Waveney District Council Community Safety Partnership was again responsible for contacting schools and scenario presentations and our grateful thanks go to Kessingland Beach Holiday Park for providing the premises.

The event, which lasted for nine days, was a superb example of a caring community supporting the future community of our town and district.

We were proud to work and have an association with such wonderful people.
