A series of fun afternoons will be held on a popular park over the school summer holidays.

The Ness, the UK's most easterly park, is holding a weekly children's club on Sparrows Nest every Thursday over the school summer holidays.

Fun is guaranteed from noon to 3pm - with singing, dancing, games, entertainment and fancy dress prizes available for the best outfits.

Running each Thursday, the following themed fun afternoons are in store - July 25 Superheroes; August 1 Princesses and Pirates; August 8 Dress as a Rainbow; August 15 Superheroes; August 22 Princesses and Pirates and August 29 Dress as a rainbow with Dance East.

On Wednesday, July 31 and Thursday, August 8 at 10am to noon, Suffolk Wildlife Trust will also be at Sparrows Nest with Marsh on the Move.

Ideally suited for five to 15-year-olds, anyone is welcome to come along and take part in some free wild learning activities with Katy Runacres, Wild Learning Officer from Carlton Marshes.
