HOLIDAY weekend, weather awful, so decided to go to the afternoon show at the Marina theatre - We'll Meet Again, memories, nostalgia show of the years of the second world war, a sing-along just like the old days sadly now all forgotten and in the past, but we the pensioners will remember with pleasure.

The theatre was full with us aged folk to remember family, friends, comrades, unsung hero's from those dark years.

Pensioners with walking sticks, zimmer frames and wheelchairs all in fine voice and very cheerful to be able to join in the songs of yesteryear.

Bing Crosby, Andrew Sisters, Donald Peers, George Formby, Gracie Fields, Vera Lynn (the forces sweetheart), Betty Grable, Alice Faye, big bands such as Glen Miller, Artie Shaw, the Dorsey Brothers, Henry Halls guest night, Charlie King on the piano to name just a few of the great entertainers of the forties.

The whole show was a tremendous success first class in every detail, the songs the jokes ever so refreshing to hear once again. I am so pleased the weather was awful.

In conclusion I will say, come on Waveney council let's have more of the same on wet Sunday afternoons, just for us pensioners who did fill the theatre today.
