A seaside town will be sprinkled with West End magic as actors convey their theatre wisdom to youngsters.

Theatreland Workshops is set to arrive in Lowestoft next month, giving young hopefuls the chance to work with inspiring professional who boast years of experience across the business.

The sessions are designed to make participants feel like they are part of a professional company, while also encouraging them to use their creativity and imagination through acting, singing and dancing.

Emphasis is also placed on confidence building among young people and celebrating every child's unique talents, regardless of their ability.

Leading the week-long programme are Rachel Knowles and Ryan Limb, who have both worked on a multitude of successful West End productions and are relishing the prospect of providing children from Lowestoft and the surrounding area with a golden opportunity.

'I'm thrilled to be leading the workshop in Lowestoft this summer alongside Ryan,' said Miss Knowles, who is the company's creative director.

'We're both very passionate about providing inspiring theatre workshops for children around the country, giving them the chance to work with industry professionals. When I was a young aspiring actress growing up in Yorkshire, there were never any opportunities like this for me.'

Miss Knowles graduated from Guildford School of Acting in 2010 and from there she went straight into the original UK touring production for Spamalot.

She has gone on to earn a host of other prominent roles and, for her work on The Tailor Made Man, she was nominated for best supporting actress at 'The Offies', London's independent theatre awards.

Among the skills covered in this summer's workshops will be musical production numbers, audition technique and choreography, while there will also be a one-day 'The Greatest Showman' workshop.

Theatre Workshops will be based at the June Glennie School of Dance on Lorne Road from Monday, August 6 to Friday, August 10, with each session running from 10am to 3.30pm. The week-long series of workshops is priced at £155 and children between the ages of seven and 17 are all welcome.
