SOME of the stars of last year's S Factor returned to the Seagull Theatre last weekend, as entries started coming in for this year's contest.

On Sunday night inaugural winner Lily Ayers helped to launch the 2010 S Factor competition by performing alongside some of her fellow competitors in The Best Factor.

Girl band Goldrush and singers Ella Hart and Katy Jones were among the acts to perform, with the Seagull Community Choir also taking to the Pakefield stage.

This year's contest is promising to be even bigger and better than before, and there is now just over a week left to apply.

So whether you're a singer, dancer, magician, ventriloquist or have another talent that you think will impress a panel of expert judges, now is the time to step forward and prove it.

There will be four heats in June, two semi-finals and a grand final on Sunday, July 18 when this year's S Factor champion will be crowned.

As well as the honour of being named champion, there is also a prize of £500 for the winner, with £250 for the runner-up and £150 for third.

Entry to this year's competition, which is sponsored by The Journal, Robinsons Lowestoft, Pleasurewood Hills and M.R. King & Sons, is £8 for soloists and £15 for groups. It is limited to just 48 acts and the deadline for entries is 3pm on Saturday, May 29.

To enter fill in the form in this week's Journal and send, together with payment, to the Seagull Theatre, Morton Road Lowestoft, NR33 0JH. Cheques should be made payable to “The Seagull Lowestoft”.
