Thieves foiled by alarm

BURGLARS broke into a house in Oulton, but fled empty-handed after an alarm was triggered.

A home in Shoals Walk was targeted on Saturday at about 9.

BURGLARS broke into a house in Oulton, but fled empty-handed after an alarm was triggered.

A home in Shoals Walk was targeted on Saturday at about 9.40 to 9.45pm when someone broke into the home triggering a loud alarm.

A white man, around 5ft 10ins tall, with collar length dark fuzzy hair and wearing a three-quarter length camel coloured coat was seen in the area at the time and a car was heard speeding off in the direction of Ranworth Avenue, shortly after the alarm went off.
