THIEVES stole about 800 litres of heating oil from a tank near a home at Parkhill, in Lowestoft.
The tank is visible from the main road and police are seeking witnesses to the theft, which happened between 5pm on Christmas Eve - last Friday, December 24 - and 8am on Christmas Day, Saturday, December 25.
'Officers are asking anyone who may have been travelling along this stretch between Oulton and the A12 between these times to think back to see if you remember seeing anything suspicious,' a police spokesman said.
'Noises were heard around 1am and therefore police are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have been in the area around this time.'
