“SO that's it then?”
When I asked in council about the regeneration of the South Quay I was told that Asda and 1st East with Waveney District Council were working together to ensure redevelopment.
Why have Asda been offering only short term leases on the "white elephant?"
Wendy Mawer stated that "development had not progressed because 1st East were considering that land for a third crossing."
On asking had they already made up their mind I received no reply.
I suggested that a further crossing next to the existing one was the last place that people in Lowestoft would want it and that the Brooke Peninsula was the favoured option.
Now we see that the Brooke Peninsula is earmarked by a developer for 650 houses.
1st East must be complicit in this proposal or they would have told the developer the land was blighted.
So much for consultation.
