Many couples have a special song which was the background to their first kiss or their first dance as a married couple.

But for Jake Aldridge and Kelly Brooks, their song is one they've written themselves - and released to the charts in time for Valentine's Day.

For the first time, the Reydon-born Jake Aldridge has worked with his girlfriend and upcoming vocalist on a track called In The Clouds.

The 28-year-old, who now lives in Carlton Colville, will be celebrating with his partner on Sunday – as the track will be available to download from iTunes.

The single, produced by Sam Hadfield aka Year 92, features Miss Brooks' vocals alongside Mr Aldridge's raps – making for an all-round modern R 'n' B sound.

The track has also been signed by the Australian-based Vacation Records and will be available to download on iTunes from Sunday.

Mr Aldridge described how he thought it was 'very appropriate' to release his latest track on Valentine's Day.

'I met Kelly in the summer of 2014 through her sister, who urged us to collaborate,' the 28-year-old said.

'Myself and Kelly hit it off immediately and have been together ever since.

'When I received the instrumental for the song, I decided immediately that I wanted to get Kelly involved.

'We made the track our first ever collaboration together and thought it was very appropriate to release it via iTunes on Valentines Day.'

'It is funny because if I was working with another singer, I wouldn't have been as harsh on them.

'With Kelly, I felt I could be as harsh as I wanted to be if the song didn't quite work, which helped us improve it.

'It made a lot of sense to release it on Valentine's Day – it is our first song together, and it is a really special thing to do.'

Kelly Brooks, who has recently signed a sponsorship deal with Match Clothing, added: 'A lot of people go out for a meal or send flowers but we have created something we will always remember and listen to.

'It was great to do something I really loved doing and to get that exposure- this track gave me a fantastic opportunity to work with Jake.'
