A THREE-YEAR-OLD girl has been taken to hospital with 'minor injuries' after she was in collision with a car in Lowestoft.

The young girl suffered grazes and bruising to her head, arms and legs in the incident and was taken to the James Paget University Hospital in Gorleston for a check-up.

The collision, which happened at the junction of Church Road and Cambridge Road about 3.30pm today (Wednesday), involved a blue Renault clio.

A spokesman for Suffolk Police said: 'We were called at 3.32pm following reports that a three-year-old girl had been in collision with a car and suffered head injuries.

'She was seen by paramedics at the scene and has gone to hospital for a check-up after suffering minor injuries.'
