Toasting success at Lowestoft-based club

The Lowestoft & District Amateur Winemakers Circle held their annual presentation dance at Kessingland Community Centre.
More than 50 guests attended the annual presentation on Saturday, February 20 and during the evening, certificates and trophies were presented to members who had entered the annual show in November, the results of which were kept secret until the night.
The list of trophy winners for the 2015 show were: Little Trophy: Class 1 white table sweet, Val Walker; Browning Trophy: Class 2 white table dry, Sheila Little; Walpole Trophy: Class 3 red table sweet, Veronica Catchpole; Stan Bird Trophy: Class 4 red table dry, Sheila Little; Mac Taylor Trophy: Class 5 golden social sweet, Len Allen: Brenda Canham Cup: Class 6 golden social dry, Pauline Crowther; Babstan Shield: Class 7 rose medium, Veronica Catchpole; Ipswich Folk Trophy: Class 8 red social sweet, Sheila Little; John Overy Cup: Class 9 red social dry fruit, Sheila Little; Ron Wright Trophy: Class 10 white social sweet, Beryl Rooke; Harper Plate: Class 11 white social dry, Val Walker; Class 12 Club Trophy: Class 12 flower sweet, Beryl Rooke; White Shield: Class 13 flower dry, Veronica Catchpole; Seething Fire and Rescue Cup: Class 14 open sweet, Veronica Catchpole; Lowestoft Fire Trophy: Class 15 open dry, Len Allen; Liqueur Trophy: Class 16 all liqueurs, Val Walker; Wine of the Show Club Shield: For Class 3 red table sweet, Veronica Catchpole; Runner-up Trophy: For Class 13 flower dry, Beryl Rooke; Manning’s Points Trophy: 60 points, Sheila Little; Runner-up Points Trophy: 50 points, Beryl Rooke.
