Distraught residents whose homes were flooded despite years of protesting about the problems have said a council inquiry into what happened is 'too little, too late'.
Some residents reportedly broke down in tears in a highly emotional meeting to look into how to prevent future flooding in Aldwyck Way.
Homes were flooded by waist-high water on July 24. Yet although residents have been warning about the problems caused by heavy rainfall for years, agencies including the county council, Anglian Water and Environment Agency have been seemingly unable to agree who should sort it out. Pakefield councillor Sonia Barker said: 'What the residents were saying is that it's only now you're listening to us because there's been this horrendous flooding.'
