LUNCH-TIME yoga, drinking more water and shooting friends with paintball guns have earned staff at NHS Yarmouth and Waveney a top award.
The health trust has become the first organisation in East Anglia to receive a Fit for Business certificate from the Big Lottery fund. To qualify for the award, the trust had to show that its staff were leading healthy lifestyles as they worked.
In the last year, staff have had free yoga, pilates and tai chi sessions at lunchtime, taken part in a paintball event and have been encouraged to eat and drink more healthily.
Lyn Blizzard, the trust's health improvement officer, said: 'The health and wellbeing of our staff is of key importance as without them we would be unable to commission and provide health services for the communities...'
