St Bartholomew’s Church, on Church Lane, Corton will host a themed festival – from the West End to St Bartholomew’s in flowers – and an array of events over the bank holiday weekend.

With the flower festival featuring displays of top stage musicals – such as Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, The Sound of Music and many more – refreshments and home-made cakes will be available throughout the weekend.

The festival runs from Saturday, August 26 to Monday, August 28. As a prelude to the weekend flower festival, an evening concert with Bob McNeil Watson and guests – featuring songs and music from West End stage musicals – will be held in the church on Friday, August 25, at 7.30pm. Admission on door is £8, which includes wine and a finger buffet.

The church is open on August 26 and August 28 from 10am to 5pm. After a church service at 10.30am on Sunday, August 27, the church is open from noon to 5pm for viewing the flower festival, before a festival songs of praise is held at 6pm.
