Top spot for talented singer Anna

A FIFTEEN-year-old singer from Carlton Colville has booked her place in the final of the Sunrise Talent Contest after winning heat one of the competition on Sunday.

BUDDING talent will be in the spotlight on Sunday for the second heat of the Sunrise Talent contest.

A total of 13 acts are set to take centre stage for the next round in their bid to make the final on Sunday, December 9.

Those taking part in the event at the Hotel Victoria this weekend are Tyler Jane Warby; Ben Gulliver and Katy Jones; Devon Clark; and ………………..

And they will be hoping to join the first heat winners Anna Ross, Reece Cook, Jodie Harris and Sisters Surprise.

The competition, which aims to uncover the stars of the future while raising money for charity, has been combined into one class this year.

This year's outright winner is set to walk away with £500 in prize money, while the runner up will receive £100 and third place £50.

Arriving early for a sound check and rehearsal, the acts will have time to prepare and calm their nerves, before the show commences at 7pm.

Doors open at 6.30pm, with entry costing £5 for adults and £3 for children.

Money raised from the event will go to the Princes Trust.
