There is severe traffic in Oulton Broad and Lowestoft following an earlier level crossing failure.
A fault at the barriers on Victoria Road in Oulton Broad had caused them to get stuck in the down position. It led to heavy traffic on a number of adjoining roads, including Bridge Road and Saltwater Way.
The issue with the barriers has since been rectified, but there remains severe traffic on the approach.
Traffic in the area has already been suffering in recent days due to 'major maintenance works' on Bridge Road, as Suffolk Highways complete barrier installation and hydraulic work at the Mutford Lock road bridge.
The roadworks will see two-way traffic lights in operation on the A1117 Bridge Road in Oulton Broad until Friday, March 15.
