The Fritton Lake Triathlon will this year be raising funds for children's cancer charity CLIC Sargent.

The event, which takes place at Somerleyton Hall on June 8, includes swimming in the lake, cycling along country roads and the estate grounds, and running through the footpaths surrounding the lake.

There are three different races for people of all abilities and money raised enables CLIC Sargent to provide care and support for children and young people with cancer, both in hospital and in the community.

Hugh Crossley, who manages the Somerleyton estate, said: “The lake provides a wonderful setting for this exciting event, allowing experienced athletes and keen amateurs to give triathlon a go and have fun, whilst keeping fit and raising money for CLIC Sargent.

“This will be the second year we have run the triathlon at Fritton Lake and we hope to have even more people taking part this year.”

Closing date for entry is May 30. For more information visit www.fritton-lake-triathlon.co.uk or call Simon Edwards on 07962 430136.
