Two assaults in Lowestoft street

POLICE are appealing for information after two separate assaults took place on the same road in Lowestoft, within a day of each other.

At around 7.30pm on Tuesday a 19-year-old man sustained bruising to the eye, scratches to his neck and a bloody nose after being attacked in Commercial Road by three youths all wearing hooded tops.

At around 7.30pm on Tuesday a 19-year-old man sustained bruising to the eye, scratches to his neck and a bloody nose after being attacked in Commercial Road by three youths all wearing hooded tops. One top was described as being grey in colour and one was white.

The second assault in Commercial Road took place on Wednesday between 6.40pm and 6.50pm, when two men pushed past two 30-year-old men. A verbal confrontation followed and the two 30 year olds were assaulted, receiving cuts to their lips.

The two offenders left shouting abuse and went on to cause damage to the window and door of a nearby shop.

One was described as white, around 6ft tall, with dark hair, and wearing a light coloured hooded top, a white t-shirt and blue jeans. The other was white with a tanned complexion, around 5ft 10in tall with brown hair, wearing blue jeans, a green jacket and a white shirt.
