Firefighters were called out twice in quick succession to tackle bin fires on the same stretch of road.

Crews from Lowestoft South fire station responded to two bin blazes within the space of an hour-and-a-half on Monday evening (June 3).

One crew from Lowestoft South was called to the B1384 Lowestoft Road in Carlton Colville at 8.26pm on Monday. They soon had the blaze under control and the scene was cleared by 8.41pm.

Then at 9.44pm a crew from Lowestoft South fire station responded to another bin fire on the B1384 Lowestoft Road in Carlton Colville, with the scene cleared by 9.54pm.
